The Lincoln Blackwood, a luxury pickup truck introduced by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company in 2002, was the brand's first foray into the pickup truck market. Based on the Ford F-150 SuperCrew and Lincoln Navigator, it aimed to appeal to luxury vehicle enthusiasts seeking a more upscale truck option. The Blackwood's distinctive feature was its simulated black woodgrain cargo box, contributing to its unique appearance. Despite a positive response to the concept vehicle, the production Blackwood did not meet sales expectations in the U.S. and Mexico. The truck was only available in a black-painted exterior, emphasizing its luxurious and exclusive image. Unfortunately, the limited appeal led to disappointing sales figures, prompting its discontinuation after the 2002 model year in the U.S. A small number of 2003 models were produced exclusively for the Mexican market before the Blackwood was ultimately phased out.
