Maple

Maple, a Chinese car brand under Shanghai Maple Automobiles, founded in 2000, originally produced vehicles under the Huapu brand. It's a subsidiary of the expansive Geely Group, which took a controlling stake in 2002. The brand's initial foray into the automotive world was marked by the launch of economical sedans and compact cars, catering primarily to the budget-conscious segment of the Chinese market. Over the years, Maple's trajectory mirrored the shifting tides of the automotive industry, with an increasing emphasis on electric vehicles (EVs). This evolution culminated in a rebranding and the introduction of new models under the joint venture between Geely and Kandi's Fengsheng Automotive Technology Group, emphasizing affordable electric mobility. The current era of Maple is highlighted by their latest models like the Maple 30x, a compact SUV electric vehicle that promises affordability without compromising on necessary technology. Launched with an enticing price tag of less than €9,000 after subsidies, the Maple 30x is designed to make electric mobility accessible to a broader audience. Despite its low cost, it features a trendy two-tone exterior and an integrated infotainment system, showcasing Maple's commitment to offering value-packed vehicles. Maple's ambitious plans include expanding their lineup with more varied models by 2025, indicating a strong focus on becoming a key player in the electric vehicle sector, adapting to the demands of modern consumers and contributing to the global transition towards sustainable transportation.
