The Mazda CX-9 is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by Mazda in Japan since 2006, offered with three rows of seating making it Mazda's largest passenger vehicle at the time. The CX-9 was manufactured at Mazda's Ujina #1 plant in Hiroshima Prefecture but interestingly was not available in the Japanese domestic market. Instead, a shorter and narrower model, the Mazda CX-8, was offered in Japan. The first generation (TB) of the CX-9 initially featured a 3.5 L Ford V6 engine.
