The sixth generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class executive car, introduced in 2023, includes three body styles: the W214 sedan, S214 estate, and X214 all-terrain estate. These vehicles are produced by Mercedes-Benz and are available in mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. The E-Class lineup was released in the UK in August 2023, with the estate variants set to be available in December 2023. Model years for all body styles are expected to start in 2024. The W214 model is set to receive a long-wheelbase version, designated V214 and replacing the V213. This long-wheelbase model will be produced and sold at the Beijing Benz factory in Beijing, China. The development of the E-Class was based on the MRA II platform, a rear-wheel drive system also used in the W206 C-Class and W223 S-Class. The unveiling of the W214 took place on 25 April 2023.
