The Mercury Villager was a minivan offered by Mercury from 1993 to 2002. Developed through a partnership between Ford and Nissan, the Villager shared its platform with the Nissan Quest, which was marketed by Nissan. Positioned in the market between the Ford Aerostar and Windstar, the Villager targeted Chrysler and General Motors minivans. The first front-wheel-drive van from Ford, the Villager offered a unique alternative in the minivan segment. The model featured two generations, with a significant redesign in 1999.
