MG is a renowned British automotive marque with a rich history dating back to its foundation by Cecil Kimber in the 1920s. The M.G. Car Company Limited, operating from 1930 to 1972, was responsible for establishing the brand as a prominent sports car manufacturer. The company's origins can be traced to a sales promotion sideline at Morris Garages, a retail sales and service center in Oxford owned by William Morris. It was at this location that Cecil Kimber, the business's manager, began modifying standard production Morris Oxfords, affixing the distinctive MG Super Sports plate onto the car's nose. In July 1930, the M.G. Car Company Limited became a separate entity, solidifying MG's presence in the
