MG is a British automotive marque established by Cecil Kimber in the 1920s. The brand gained popularity under the British sports car manufacturer M.G. Car Company Limited, which operated from 1930 to 1972. MG cars trace their origins to a sales promotion venture of Morris Garages, a retail sales and service center in Oxford owned by William Morris. Cecil Kimber, the business's manager, customized standard production Morris Oxfords with the addition of MG Super Sports emblems on the car's front plate. In July 1930, the M.G. Car Company Limited was officially incorporated, marking a new chapter in the brand's history. Fast forward to 2007, the ownership of MG shifted to the Chinese state-owned automaker
