The Mitsubishi Delica is a series of vans and pickup trucks produced by Mitsubishi Motors since 1968. Originally based on a cabover van and pickup truck introduced in 1967, the name "Delica" is a short form of "Delivery car." The Delica has been marketed under various names in different regions, such as the L300 and L400 in Europe, Jamaica, and New Zealand, Express and Starwagon in Australia, and simply Mitsubishi Van and Wagon in the United States. The passenger car versions of the Delica were known as the Delica Star Wagon until 1994 when the Delica Space Gear was introduced. In Europe, the Space Gear was known simply as Space Gear.
