The Mitsubishi Delica is a versatile range of vans and pickup trucks manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors since 1968. Originally based on a cabover van and pickup truck, the Delica was named as a contraction of the phrase "Delivery car." The vehicle has been sold under various names in different markets - L300 and L400 in Europe, Jamaica (discontinued after the third generation), and New Zealand, Express and Starwagon in Australia, and simply as Mitsubishi Van and Wagon in the United States. For the passenger car versions, they were known as Delica Star Wagon before the 1994 introduction of the Delica Space Gear, later rebranded simply as Space Gear in Europe. The most recent iteration of the Delica, known as the Delica D:5, is not available as a commercial vehicle. Key points: 1.
