Mitsubishi Dingo

1999 – 2003 · Japan

The Mitsubishi Mirage Dingo is a compact MPV manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors between 1998 and 2003. It shares a shortened platform with the Mirage, enhancing its compact and efficient design. The name "Dingo" was inspired by the word "Bingo," symbolizing good fortune, with the letter 'B' replaced by 'D' to pay homage to Mitsubishi's Diamond logo. Additionally, the name draws inspiration from the dingo, a wild dog native to Australia. The Mitsubishi Mirage Dingo was exclusively sold at the Car Plaza retail chain in Japan. Its exterior and interior design bear a striking resemblance to the Mitsubishi Dion, another MPV model offered in the Japanese market. This similarity may have contributed to the Mirage Dingo's familiarity
