Mitsubishi Pajero V80

2006 – 2011

The Mitsubishi Pajero, a full-size SUV, has been a globally popular vehicle produced by Mitsubishi over four generations from 1981 until its discontinuation in 2021. Known as the Pajero worldwide, it was rebadged as the Montero in North America, Spain, and Latin America (excluding Brazil and Jamaica), and as the Shogun in the UK. The Pajero nameplate is derived from the Pampas cat, Leopardus pajeros, though the "pajero" term was considered derogatory in Spanish, leading to the name change in specific markets. In North America, the model was discontinued in 2006. The Montero and Shogun names were also used for unrelated models, such as the Pajero Mini kei car, the Pajero Junior and Pajero iO/Pinin mini SUVs, and the Triton-based Pajero/Montero/Shogun Sport mid-size SUVs.
