The Moskvitch 412, also known as Moskvich 412 or M-412, was a small family car manufactured by MZMA/AZLK in Moscow from 1967 to 1975 and later by IZh in Izhevsk until 1982 as the IZh-412. Serving as an upgraded version of the M-408 model, the 412 offered enhanced features at a higher price point, positioning it as a more powerful and prestigious choice in the market. Derived from the Moskvitch 408, the 412 boasted a more potent 1.5-liter engine that provided improved performance compared to its predecessor. The early iterations of the 412 featured engines that were initially developed in 1964.
