The Renault 14, manufactured by Renault from 1976 to 1983, was a compact car designed to compete in the small family hatchback market, following the success of the Volkswagen Golf. It made its debut in January 1976 and entered production in June of the same year at Renault's new Douai plant, marking a significant milestone for the company.
