Renault Espace JE0

1996 – 2002

The Renault Espace is a well-established series of automobiles by Renault that has evolved over six generations since its inception in 1984. Initially designed as a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in its first five generations, it has now transitioned into a mid-size crossover SUV for its sixth generation. The first three generations were groundbreaking as they were among the first modern minivans or MPVs, and were produced in collaboration with Matra. Subsequent generations, including the fourth one, were solely manufactured by Renault. Renault also offers a long wheelbase version known as the Renault Grand Espace, which provides additional rear legroom and boot space. This model caters to those who prioritize passenger comfort and storage capacity. Key Points: 1. The Renault Espace has been manufactured by Renault since 1984. 2. The earlier generations of the Espace were pioneering minivans/MPVs. 3. The Espace has undergone a redesign, transitioning into a mid-size crossover SUV in its sixth generation. 4. Renault collaborated with Matra for the production of the first three generations. 5. The Renault Grand Espace is a long wheelbase variant with enhanced rear legroom and boot size, focusing on passenger comfort and storage needs.
