The Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph, a large luxury automobile, was in production from 1998 to 2002 as a replacement for the outgoing Silver Spirit model. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on 3 March 1998, the Silver Seraph marked a new era for Rolls-Royce Motors following the end of Silver Spirit production in 1997. Development of the Silver Seraph started in the late 1980s, with design work kicking off in October 1990. By April 1991, the conceptual design was finalized and approved by management in June the same year. The production of the Silver Seraph came to an end when the license to use the Rolls-Royce brand was acquired by BMW
