Rolls-Royce Sweptail

2017

The Rolls-Royce Sweptail is a one-off coachbuilt grand tourer completed in 2017 for a single anonymous client, making it a true bespoke commission rather than a production model in any conventional sense. Built on an extended Phantom platform, it features a sweeping fastback roofline inspired by coachbuilt Rolls-Royces of the 1920s and 1930s, along with a panoramic glass roof that runs the full length of the cabin. The Sweptail is widely reported to be one of the most expensive new cars ever sold, with figures cited in the region of $13 million, though Rolls-Royce has never officially confirmed a price. There are no variants, as the car exists as a single example, and its significance lies in demonstrating the full scope of Rolls-Royce Bespoke coachbuilding in the modern era.
