The Rover Sixty and Rover Seventy-Five, known as the Rover P3 series, were executive cars introduced in February 1948 by the Rover Company. These cars featured powerful 1.6 and 2.0-litre engines and were produced until the summer of 1949. Just two months later, Rover made another significant announcement introducing the Land Rover, an agricultural vehicle that shared the engine of the new Rover Sixty. Post World War II, Rover developed a new engine that had been in the works since the late 1930s, featuring overhead inlet and side exhaust valves. This new engine was offered in two versions for the Rover P3 series - the Rover 60 with a four-cylinder 1595 cc unit
