The Saab 9-4X is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV that made its debut at the 2010 LA Auto Show. Built on the all-wheel-drive GM Theta Premium platform, shared with the Cadillac SRX, the 9-4X went into production in 2011 at General Motors' Ramos Arizpe Assembly in Mexico. However, production came to a halt later that year due to Saab's bankruptcy, resulting in only 814 units being assembled. The development of the 9-4X came after the cancellation of the Saab 9-6X project following General Motors' divestment from Subaru.
