Subaru Crosstrek GT

2017 – 2023 · Japan

The Subaru Crosstrek, known as the Subaru XV for its first two generations globally, is a compact crossover SUV introduced by Subaru in 2012. It serves as the successor to the Outback Sport in the United States and Canada and the Impreza XV worldwide. The Crosstrek is essentially a lifted Impreza hatchback with minor differences, featuring a more substantial lift compared to the Outback Sport model. Initially, the vehicle was branded as the XV globally and the XV Crosstrek in the U.S. and Canada. However, in 2015, Subaru decided to streamline the name and began marketing it solely as the Crosstrek starting with the 2016 model year onwards in the U.S. and Canada. Key Points: 1. Subaru Crosstrek is a compact crossover SUV produced by Subaru since 2012. 2. It is the successor to the Outback Sport in the U.S. and Canada and the Impreza XV globally. 3. The vehicle is based on a lifted Impreza hatchback with minor modifications and a more pronounced lift compared to the Outback Sport. 4. Initially marketed as the XV globally and XV Crosstrek in the U.S. and Canada, it was later streamlined to simply Crosstrek in those regions from the 2016 model year onwards.
