Suzuki Alto HA12

1998 – 2020 · Japan

The Suzuki Alto HA12 is the fifth-generation Alto, the kei hatchback Suzuki introduced in 1998. It kept the Alto formula: a tiny footprint, a 660 cc engine for the Japanese market, front or all-wheel drive, and manual or automatic gearboxes, as a three or five-door hatchback with a van version for trade buyers. In Japan it ran into the mid 2000s, and the HA12 design carried on far longer in other markets, which is why so many are still on the road. This page collects the HA12's versions, specs and owner photos.
