The Suzuki Cultus, a supermini car, was produced by Suzuki from 1983 to 2016. Initially unveiled at the 25th Tokyo Motor Show, it was introduced to Japan in 1983 and later sold globally as the Suzuki Swift. Through an alliance with General Motors and Isuzu in 1981, the Cultus was marketed by GM under various nameplates such as Geo Metro, Chevrolet Sprint, Pontiac Firefly, and Holden Barina. Within GM, it was known as the M-car. During its production run, the Cultus was offered in four body-style variations and featured engines from the Suzuki G engine family. Following the end of its global production, the nameplate continues to be used in Pakistan, where it is a rebadged second-generation Suzuki Celerio since 2017. Despite being replaced by newer models in other markets, the second generation Cultus remained in production in Pakistan until late 2016.
