Toyota Avanza W100

2021 – 2023 · Japan

The Toyota Avanza and Daihatsu Xenia are a series of multi-purpose vehicles (MPV) developed by Daihatsu and marketed by both Toyota and Daihatsu, known for their three-row seating configuration. These vehicles were created as entry-level MPVs with a focus on markets like Indonesia and other emerging economies. Astra Daihatsu Motor in Indonesia is the primary production hub for both the Avanza and Xenia. The Avanza, which can trace its roots back to the Kijang model, is one of the key players in the MPV segment and is positioned as a more compact and affordable option compared to the larger Kijang Innova. This move allowed Toyota to broaden its market share in the MPV segment, particularly in countries where compact MPVs are popular. Outside Indonesia, the Avanza has gained popularity in various regions including Southeast Asia, Mexico, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Egypt, South Africa, and several African countries. Moreover, a rebadged version of the car was sold under the FAW badge in China until 2016. Key Points: 1.
