The Toyota Comfort and Toyota Crown Comfort were mid-size sedans manufactured by Toyota from 1995 to 2018, primarily targeted at fleet buyers, especially taxicab operators. The Comfort models were based on a platform derived from the Toyota Mark II (X80), offering reliability and cost-effectiveness for corporate and taxi use. In 2001, the 11th generation Crown Sedan was introduced as a separate model for the Japanese market. This Crown Sedan, different from the regular Crown executive car, also catered to fleet buyers, serving as a high-end taxi or for corporate purposes. Competing with the likes of the Nissan Crew and Nissan Cedric Y31, the Toyota Comfort line positioned itself as a practical choice for fleet operators
