The Toyota Opa is a compact car produced by Toyota, introduced as a prototype at the October 1999 Tokyo Motor Show and put into production in January 2000. The name "Opa" is inspired by the Portuguese exclamation for surprise. It was developed from the V50 Vista Ardeo wagon but modified into a 5-door hatchback design.
