Volkswagen Polo MK2 GTI

1981 – 1994 · GERMANY

The Volkswagen Polo is a popular supermini car produced by Volkswagen since 1975, available in hatchback, saloon, and estate variants across Europe and other global markets. With six generations created up to 2018, each generation is usually distinguished by a "Series" or "Mark" number, with facelifted versions occasionally denoted by the addition of the letter F to the mark number (e.g., Mk2F). To some in the industry, these facelifts represent separate models, leading to informal designations such as Polo Mk1 to Mk7 for earlier generations. Moreover, each Polo model is also assigned a Volkswagen Group Typ number consisting of two or three characters. Key Points: 1.
