The Australian Porsche 356 Register Inc was formed in 1986 and has over 450 members across Australia, New Zealand and abroad, maintaining a register of more than 400 Porsche 356 cars. The club promotes interest in the 356, encourages exchange of restoration and maintenance information, publishes a magazine, and is officially recognised by the Porsche factory as a Classic Porsche club (Club 109). Its main annual meeting is the 356 Porsche Parade held in Melbourne each November.
