The Far North Queensland Restorers Car Club was formed in the late 1980s to encourage the renovation, preservation and presentation of vehicles 30 years and older. It is a social group running car-related events around Cairns, the Tablelands and Innisfail. Annual events include a multi-day Western run, Tour de Cassowary and the Cairns Swap Meet.
