Lobethal Circuit

Name: Lobethal Circuit
Address: Lobethal, South Australia

By @drivesomehq · Lobethal, South Australia · Racetrack

Lobethal was a 13.9 km circuit of public roads through the Adelaide Hills, used from 1937 until 1948 and best remembered for the 1939 Australian Grand Prix, won by Allan Tomlinson in an MG. It was fast, narrow and lined with trees and gutters, and racing stopped when the state banned open road racing. The roads still exist and have hosted demonstration runs in more recent years.
