Lowood was a 4.5 km circuit on a wartime airfield at Tarampa, west of Brisbane, used from 1946 until 1966. It hosted the 1960 Australian Grand Prix, won by Alec Mildren, along with rounds of the Australian Touring Car Championship and the Australian Drivers' Championship, and was Queensland's main racing venue until Lakeside opened.
