Penwell Knights Raceway is a quarter mile drag strip in Penwell, Texas, about 15 miles west of Odessa, and is the only quarter mile strip in the Permian Basin. It was originally established in 1966 as Penwell Raceway and was rebuilt and reopened under its current name in 2008 at what is also known as Caprock Motorplex, having hosted racers such as John Force and Don Garlits during its earlier decades.
