The Royal Automobile Club of Australia (RACA), founded in 1903 in Sydney, is Australia's oldest motoring club and today operates primarily as a prestigious members' social/gentlemen's club in its heritage clubhouse on Macquarie Street, offering dining, accommodation, fitness and event facilities. Its 'Motoring' arm is a special-interest section that runs drive days and motoring events for members and guests and assists members with Historic Vehicle Registration. It is a genuine motoring club by heritage but functions today chiefly as a social members' club with a motoring enthusiasts group rather than a single-marque enthusiast/restoration club.
