The Thoroughbred Sports Car Club was formed in 1981, mainly by members of the Aston Martin and Jaguar clubs, with an early emphasis on competition that has since shifted to social activities. Activities include regular Wednesday runs, weekend outings and overnight stays, with monthly meetings at Carlingford Bowling Club. Membership now spans a wide range of makes and it publishes the magazine 'Top Gear'.
