Drivesome opens public beta: a social network built exclusively for car lovers

ADELAIDE, Australia, 1 July 2026: Drivesome, a new social network built exclusively for car enthusiasts, has opened its public beta at drivesome.com. Founded in Adelaide by Marcus Newark, the platform gives car lovers a dedicated home for their photos, videos and builds, away from the noise of general social media.

At the heart of Drivesome is a car-linked timeline. Every post can be tagged to the exact car it features, from make and model down to the specific generation and badge, and the platform's Car Vision AI can identify the car in a photo automatically. Each car in the database has its own page that grows into a living gallery as the community posts.

"I got tired of watching car content drown in general social networks," said Marcus Newark, founder of Drivesome. "Car culture deserved a place of its own, so I built it."

Drivesome is free to join at drivesome.com, with a rewards program that recognises members for genuine participation. Events, car clubs and more are on the roadmap for the months ahead.
