Adelaide founder takes on the social media giants with Drivesome, a social network built just for car lovers

ADELAIDE, Australia, 11 August 2026: Drivesome (drivesome.com), a social network built exclusively for car enthusiasts, is giving car culture a home of its own. Founded in Adelaide by Marcus Newark, the platform combines a car-linked photo and video timeline, a database of nearly 18,000 cars, a worldwide events calendar and AI that can identify the exact car in a photo.

On general social networks, car content competes with everything else and disappears in days. On Drivesome, every post can be linked to the exact car it features, right down to the generation and badge, so every car page becomes a permanent, growing gallery built by the community. The platform's Car Vision AI identifies cars in members' photos and suggests the right tag automatically.

Drivesome already lists more than 800 car events worldwide, from cars and coffee mornings to shows, track days and cruises, with registrations, ticketing, QR check-in and press passes built in. Car clubs get management tools that are free for founding clubs, including members-only timelines and online dues collection, with pages ready for more than 1,200 clubs and hundreds of racetracks around the world. Members can also enter Virtual Car Shows, online competitions where the community votes for its favourite cars.
