1913 – 1913

Abadal›15.9HP

The Abadal 15.9HP was a specialized model introduced to highlight the brand's growing interest in performance and motorsport. Unveiled at the 1913 Paris Motor Show, the 15.9HP was powered by a smaller 3.1-liter four-cylinder engine, offering agility and speed in a lightweight chassis. This car was intended for racing enthusiasts and drivers who valued performance over luxury. Despite its smaller engine size compared to the 45HP, the 15.9HP delivered impressive results on the road and track, thanks to its advanced engineering and streamlined design. The car's appearance was sporty and aerodynamic for its time, with a lower, sleeker profile and simplified bodywork. Interiors were stripped down to the essentials to reduce weight, with a focus on functionality rather than comfort. The 15.9HP played a pivotal role in establishing Abadal's credentials in motorsport and performance car manufacturing. While production numbers were limited, the car's success helped to raise the brand's profile among Europe’s automotive elite. Today, the 15.9HP is considered a rare gem, celebrated for its contribution to early automotive racing culture.
