Abadal Impéria

1913–1923

Abadal›Impéria

The Abadal Impéria was a Spanish automobile produced between 1913 and 1923, built by the Barcelona-based firm founded by Francisco Abadal. The model was closely tied to the Belgian manufacturer Impéria, which produced Abadal-badged cars under license following Abadal's departure from Hispano-Suiza, giving the marque a Franco-Belgian character unusual for the period. The cars were known for their sporting pretensions and coachbuilt bodywork, with some examples featuring elegant open tourers that drew comparisons to the Hispano-Suiza models Abadal had previously been associated with. The production run spanned a turbulent decade that included the First World War, and surviving examples are considered rare, reflecting the limited output of a small luxury manufacturer operating across two countries.
