The AC Ace, a renowned sports car produced by AC Cars of Thames Ditton, England, was manufactured from 1953 to 1963. The company, which had previously introduced the 2-Litre range of cars in 1947 after the Second World War, gained significant acclaim with the Ace model. The Ace sports car featured a design by John Tojeiro, incorporating a light ladder-type tubular frame and all independent transverse leaf spring suspension. Its open two-seater alloy body was handcrafted using English wheeling machines, drawing possible inspiration from the Ferrari 166 MM barchetta. In its early production stages, the AC Ace was equipped with a 100 bhp (75 kW) two-liter overhead cam straight-six engine
