The Integra Type R represented the highest-performance variant of the DC4 generation, powered by a 1.8-liter DOHC VTEC inline-four producing 195 hp, a figure achieved through a high-compression build, close-ratio gearbox, and a free-revving engine tuned to extract maximum output from naturally aspirated form. Top speed reached 234 km/h, and the car received a strut brace, limited-slip differential, and Brembo brakes alongside significant weight reduction measures over standard Integra models.
