The Acura TL, manufactured by Acura, the luxury division of Honda, was introduced in 1995 to replace the Acura Vigor. Badged as the Honda Inspire and Honda Saber in the Japanese market, the TL became Acura's best-selling model until it was surpassed by the MDX in 2007. While in 2005, it was the second best-selling luxury sedan in the United States, sales declined after the 2008 model year. There were four generations of the Acura TL produced, with the final fourth generation debuting in 2008 as a 2009 model.
