The Kia Retona is a compact mini SUV that draws inspiration from Kia's military jeeps, offering a rugged and versatile driving experience. The name "Retona" is a combination of "return" and "nature," reflecting the car's focus on adventure and outdoor exploration. Initially developed by Asia Motors, the vehicle was first introduced as the "Asia Retona" in certain markets before being rebranded under the Kia name. Sharing its platform with the first generation Kia Sportage Convertible, the Retona boasted a sturdy and capable design suited for off-road excursions. Competing with models like the Lada Niva, Suzuki Jimny, and SsangYong Korando, the Retona catered to drivers seeking a compact SUV
