The Aston Martin Bulldog is a unique concept vehicle designed by William Towns and manufactured by Aston Martin in 1979. Originally assigned the project code name DP K901, the Bulldog was intended to be produced in limited numbers, with a planned run of 15 to 25 units. However, due to the high costs involved, only a single model was ever created.
Named after a Scottish Aviation Bulldog aircraft that was piloted by Aston Martin's managing director Alan Curtis, the vehicle also earned the nickname "K9," a reference to the robotic dog from the popular Doctor Who TV series. The Bulldog was crafted to showcase the capabilities of Aston Martin's then-new engineering facility located in Newport Pagnell and to compete for the title
