The Virage Volante is the open-top convertible body style of Aston Martin's 2011 Virage, sharing the coupe's 6.0-litre V12 engine producing 497 hp and 570 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The Volante's folding fabric roof added mass compared to the coupe, resulting in a 0-100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds. It occupied the middle ground in the Aston Martin lineup between the DB9 Volante and the Virage coupe's performance-focused siblings.
