The Audi S8 is a luxurious full-size car in the Audi S lineup, designed for high performance and manufactured by Audi Sport GmbH at the Neckarsulm plant. It serves as an upgraded version of the Audi A8, equipped with the renowned Audi quattro all-wheel drive system. Initially, the S8 was available only in a short-wheelbase configuration for the first three generations. However, starting with the fourth generation, a long-wheelbase variant option was introduced. The first generation of the Audi S8, known as the D2, was produced from 1996 to 2003. It boasted a powerful 4.2-liter V8 engine delivering 340 PS (250 kW; 335 hp), enabling impressive acceleration capabilities.
