The BMW E24 is the initial generation of the BMW 6 Series, manufactured from 1976 to 1989, succeeding the BMW E9 coupe. This range of grand tourer cars was exclusively offered in a 2-door coupe body style and featured petrol straight-six engines, predominantly from the BMW M30 engine family with an exception being the M635CSi/M6 model.
