The 640i Steptronic Cabriolet is powered by a turbocharged inline-six petrol engine delivering 320 hp and 450 Nm, routed through an eight-speed Steptronic automatic to the rear wheels. It completes the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 5.5 seconds, sitting as the entry-level petrol open-top choice within the F12 range for its production window of 2015 to 2017. Its rear-wheel-drive configuration keeps the driving character focused compared to the xDrive petrol variant.
