The 730d Steptronic is the standard-wheelbase six-cylinder diesel of the post-facelift F01 range, producing 258 hp and 560 Nm from its turbodiesel engine and covering 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. Sharing its engine output with the long-wheelbase 730Ld Steptronic, it returns slightly quicker acceleration due to the shorter body's lower overall weight. Rear-wheel drive and the eight-speed Steptronic gearbox are standard.
