Here it is: Buick built light trucks and pickup bodies on passenger car platforms across two distinct periods at its Flint, Michigan factory. The company had been relocated to Flint by early 1904, and William C. Durant gained control of it in November of that year, rapidly expanding the brand's output. Buick continued offering light trucks through 1918, producing the E-4 pickup, and reintroduced a light truck chassis in 1922. In 1922 Buick produced the Series 22-44 lower-cost passenger car, and a commercial derivative known as the SD4 was built in limited numbers until 1923, after which General Motors made the final decision to limit light trucks to the Chevrolet and GMC brands. Over the years of truck production, Buick assembled approximately 12,599 trucks in total.
