The Buick Electra was a full-size luxury car produced by Buick from 1959 to 1990 across six generations. It was introduced as a replacement for the Roadmaster line and remained the flagship Buick sedan throughout its production run. The vehicle was available in various body styles including a two-door sedan, two-door convertible, four-door sedan, and five-door station wagon. Initially built on GM's rear-drive C Platform, the Electra underwent a significant downsizing in 1977. The sixth-generation model, introduced in 1985, underwent another major downsizing and transitioned to a unibody construction on GM's new front-wheel-drive C Platform. This evolution made the Electra, along with its rebadged variants
