Chana

Chana Automobile is a Chinese automotive manufacturer based in Chongqing, operating as a subsidiary of Changan Automobile Group, one of China's largest state-owned automotive conglomerates. The brand focused primarily on affordable microvans, minivans, and small commercial vehicles targeting budget-conscious buyers in the domestic Chinese market. The Chana Benni was a compact minicar sold in the mid-2000s, while the SC6390 designation follows the Chinese standard naming convention suggesting a minivan or light passenger van body type. Chana functioned largely as a lower-tier marque within the broader Changan family, serving rural and entry-level urban markets where low purchase price and running costs mattered more than refinement. The Chana name has largely faded as Changan consolidated its brand structure, with successor models absorbed under other sub-brands within the group.
