The Chery eQ5, also known as the codeproject S61, is an electric compact crossover SUV introduced by Chery. As part of Chery's efforts to expand its electric vehicle lineup, the eQ5 belongs to the Ant-themed family of electric vehicles, following the introduction of the Little Ant (Chery eQ1) and the Chery Ant Concept in previous years. In August 2019, Chery NEV officials revealed plans to develop an all-aluminum platform specifically for pure electric vehicle models.
